The Official blog of team CHECK

The 11th Hour: Rules, Payouts, and Registration info available now!

This is probably the toughest time for those of us on team CHECK: when all the information for The 11th Hour is released. It's close enough to the competition to start acquainting (or re-acquainting) yourself with the rules, guidelines, arenas, safe spots, and competition borders, but too early to have any official team meetings.

Basically, those of us that have ideas start brainstorming them on our own. We may contact other members for bits of advice here or there, but for the most part we just work out our strategies with ourselves. For a competitor and especially for me, getting ready to go for my 4th title, its extremely nervewracking to be this close to go time. To want to rally the troops and get to work now, but knowing you have to wait.

Competitors get what we like to call "the itch", and often times it gets a few people disqualified before competition even officially starts. The promising soldiers tough it out, but there are those who think they can cheat and not get caught.

Everyone gets caught.

It's less intense this year though. There are new rules that have taken my mind off of the itch.

Some of you have been following for a few years, I'm sure, but for those who don't know much about the game, there was originally a ban on killing other competitors. That has been lifted this year. Should make things more exciting for viewers, especially when it comes to Arena Play. There's also a new pay out for executing other competitors.

On the right side of the page, you'll find a "Rules & Registration" tab. It contains everything you need to know if you're looking to register for the competition. At the very least, you can familiarize yourself with the rules. We're told a boundary map will be issued soon as well. Keep your eyes peeled for that.

Until next time.

Does this bother anyone else?

I don't see the point of this revision. We are citizens of New America competing in a game, not Romans trying to see who the strongest gladiator is.

This site isn't run by T11H Committee members (clearly). I've been fixing formatting issues and typos all day. The rule was probably copied down wrong. Theres more to it. They wouldn't just all of the sudden decide it's okay to kill each other. Wait for the packet.

Perhaps the powers that be are threatened by your three titles. Imagine the price on your heads.
