It's been a few days since the last update. Unfortunately, we've all found ourselves to be far more busy than we expected!! The T11H Committee has decided to give us a few new rules and - on top of that - they've announced that there's a new team competing this year, and their stats individually are apparently as good as ours. We're all pretty excited about possibly having some competition, but it means we're going to have to step up our game a bit. You should be getting updated pretty regularly, however, once we move to our "base of operations".
A rival team... so exciting! They didn't release much information on them, but from what we've been able to gather, they're all men. Our target is male, too, from what we've been informed. And Astrid always says, if you want to kill a man right, send a woman to do it.
Or Astrid. Whichever is more readily accessible.

I bought something completely useless today.

Is that what happens when you're rich? I have so much money now. It's just little ole me taking care of myself with a little help from... myself. And there's seriously only so much money I need to take care of myself. Once I get the necessities out of the way I just have so much excess. I bought some chinese food that I decided against eating shortly after and ended up tossing, and then I bought a bag. I bought it because I had money in my pocket and it had a pricetag. I don't even have anything to put in it. It's just a bag and now it's sitting on my bed, staring at me and making me feel bad about buying it without the intention of putting it to use. I would never be able to own slaves.
That happened once a long time ago, right? People used to have slaves? I can never remember what's history and what's fiction. They're kind of interchangeable at this point, aren't they? I keep asking questions, assuming we have readers. Do we have readers? Are people reading this? Are you capable of thought or typing? Maybe I'll wake up one day and realize none of this is real, I've just gone insane and this is my therapists solution. Maybe no one that posts here really exists. Maybe I've got multiple personality disorder and I'm just making everyone up so I can feel less alone. Some sort of "oh my parents are dead" compensation.
I also bought eye makeup remover. Guess I'll have to start wearing eye makeup.

Kara mentioned the other day that it was kind of pointless to have this blog if none of you can weigh in.
Anonymous/non account comments are now enabled.
Now instead of us trying to figure out what to write about, you can tell us what you want to know about. You can also weigh in on certain posts if you have opinions on anything.
You can either be anonymous, or leave a name. You also have the option to leave a link to your website if you've got one.

The 11th Hour: Rules, Payouts, and Registration info available now!

This is probably the toughest time for those of us on team CHECK: when all the information for The 11th Hour is released. It's close enough to the competition to start acquainting (or re-acquainting) yourself with the rules, guidelines, arenas, safe spots, and competition borders, but too early to have any official team meetings.
Basically, those of us that have ideas start brainstorming them on our own. We may contact other members for bits of advice here or there, but for the most part we just work out our strategies with ourselves. For a competitor and especially for me, getting ready to go for my 4th title, its extremely nervewracking to be this close to go time. To want to rally the troops and get to work now, but knowing you have to wait.
Competitors get what we like to call "the itch", and often times it gets a few people disqualified before competition even officially starts. The promising soldiers tough it out, but there are those who think they can cheat and not get caught.
Everyone gets caught.
It's less intense this year though. There are new rules that have taken my mind off of the itch.
Some of you have been following for a few years, I'm sure, but for those who don't know much about the game, there was originally a ban on killing other competitors. That has been lifted this year. Should make things more exciting for viewers, especially when it comes to Arena Play. There's also a new pay out for executing other competitors.
On the right side of the page, you'll find a "Rules & Registration" tab. It contains everything you need to know if you're looking to register for the competition. At the very least, you can familiarize yourself with the rules. We're told a boundary map will be issued soon as well. Keep your eyes peeled for that.
Until next time.
